Good For: 3 and up
Each one of these personality-filled
hand puppets (Cate & Levi, $35 each) had a life before playtime—or at least a piece of them did: They’re made from repurposed sweaters. All 10 animal types are handcrafted by designer-dad Josh Title and his team in the company’s Toronto studio.
The Best Part: Because of their reclaimed nature, every puppet is one-of-a-kind. You and your child can pick out a walrus or a frog puppet together, for example, and the color and pattern of the one that arrives at your door will be a surprise. (Gender appropriateness is considered.)
